This auction is for four brand new double sponge bio-filters. It is without a doubt the best low cost filter I've ever used. These sturdy filters are ideal for fry tanks, grow out tanks, shrimp or snail tanks, and tanks of all kinds up to ten or twenty gallons depending on bio-load. The extensible lift tube allows this versatile unit to be used equally well in even the smallest of fry tanks or containers for super filtration. They can be used at either end of larger tanks with excellent results. Having two sponges on each unit allows for rinsing one out (cold water only please) while maintaining the vital nitrifying bacteria on the other for uninterrupted filtration. The sponges also provide a great source of infusoria and other micro fauna for hungry fry, without the danger of them getting sucked in as is possible with other filters. The center lift tube extends up a full eight inches, and the sponges are each 1-7/8" in diameter and 3-1/4" long.
