BBB

BAYLEES BETTER BOTTOM

I am very proud to say that BBB has become a common name in the hobby.  I have been offering it now for around 5 years and thousands of pounds have made it into the tanks of fellow hobbyists who keep coming back for more.

WHY?

Because it works!  BBB is not only awesome for planted tanks, it's perfect for any tank because of it's natural color.  But the secret is the fact that it is natural and THAT is why plants do so well in it.

Have you ever dealt with phlox in your flower garden?  Ever noticed that that stuff does spectacular when it's planted near a rock wall?

STOP wasting your money on high priced substrate or crap that is going to turn sludge and be nothing but a hassle.

Start using BBB and start enjoying the hobby!

GRAVEL         OR             SAND

Both sizes are small grain for tender root development, yet both can be cleaned and won't clog up your filters.  When you order, just let me know which size you would like, or you can even mix them if you like.

Maybe you would like to do gravel toward the back of your tank for plants like swords and sand in the front of your tank for plants like microswords.

This is what BBB looks like wet.  See all the natural colors that will help reduce stress in your fish and bring out their colors as they try to blend in to their environment.  Purple and pink gravel are for kids, BBB is for grownups.

So How Much Do You Need?

Well I use a specific formula now to figure this out.  First off, I like a good 3" deep base, especially in the back of the tank for plants with big roots.  Otherwise, I either have to mound up the gravel around them, or they want to pull out and end up floating.

This is a hassle.

But I also think that smaller tank can get away with a 2" base because most of the plants I would use will not have big roots and 3" might just be too much.

Lastly, I may do a little of both and ramp my gravel by having 2" in front up to 3" in the back.  This also can help save you a little money by doing this as well.

So here is the formula I use.

2" depth is L x W x .1

3" depth is L x W x .15

This formula is simple and done in inches.  An example would be if you had a tank that was 36" long and 18" wide and you wanted a depth of 3".  36 x 18 x .15 would equal 97.2 or 97.2 pounds.  Then I would decide if I wanted to ramp it and go a little less or just get 100 pounds and be done with it.

So Let's Talk Price

Folks, I have gone out of my way to make things in this hobby affordable.  It's not an easy job, but I try my best.

First off, I don't have fancy packaging for BBB.  I just put it in a sack or trash bag and then in a flat rate box.  This makes shipping gravel a reality.  Try shipping anything over 25 pounds for less than flat rate shipping.

A medium box which holds 25 pounds costs around $10 and a large flat rate box which holds 40 pounds costs around $15.  But I simply include that in the price.  So think about that when comparing BBB to other commercial brands.

So here is the bottom line.

25 pound box $30
40 pound box $45
100 pounds or over $1 per pound

It is really this simple to buy BBB.

Click on the Buy It Now button and choose which size gravel you would like and how much.  Send your paypal payment along with your selections and soon you will have BBB in your tanks.

SMALL PACKS

Want to try BBB or use it in small pots in your bare bottom tank?  Ok, just paypal me $10 for approx 4.5 pounds.  Remember to tell me gravel or sand. No need to bid, just paypal for small sizes.
