Description

You are buying two giant 24" long spawning mops. They measure a full 2 feet from the tuft on top to the bottom of the strands. The spawning mops can be trimmed to size to fit your tank. These spawning mops are each crafted from 50 strands of durable acrylic that won't rot and won't leach harmful chemicals into your tank or pond. The dark color of the spawning mops makes eggs stand out and easy to harvest. They come with a handy loop at the top to anchor the spawning mops where you want them.

Spawning mops are great for breeding many species of tropical aquarium fish and pond fish. Rainbowfish, koi and goldfish, characins like tetras, killifish, medaka, shrimp, and crayfish can all be bred using spawning mops. Spawning mops also provide safe zones for baby fish fry and shrimplets.

The foam ring keeps the spawning mops upright so your fish can lay eggs on them. The foam is UV resistant and won't get brittle or crack even if left outside in the sun.

I make these spawning mops individually by hand.
