My spawning mops are the absolute highest quality, triple tied, hand wound mops available anywhere. I have sold them to many AKA members as well as to killi clubs both here and in Canada and Europe. They can be used floating or sinking, and can be sterilized and reused for literally years without coming apart. Each has a full 120 separate strands for maximum egg retention, and you can select from dark or light green, dark or light brown, or black at the time of purchase. The dark (hunter) green mops are most effective and are the most often ordered color. All are hand wound to order. This auction includes four spawning mops.

APR or Artificial Plankton and Rotifers is in my opinion and experience the best first food for fry of all species and particularly effective at cutting out losses due to starving out of small fry in those first few critical days after yolk sac absorbtion. It is extremely high in critical aminos and fatty acids as well as much needed protein. It has saved numerous spawns of bettas and extremely small fry such as celestial pearl danios and is always the first food for all of my fry. Simply an incredible food that is used by professional shrimp farmers to feed larval shrimp, and they do not get any smaller than that. It is also very effective feed for newly hatched brine shrimp should you choose to enrich them before feeding or attempt to grow them out. This auction includes one 9 gram++ snap-cap vial of APR which is enough for many spawns.

Fine ground spirulina powder is among the most nutritious foods on earth and is the fry food equivalent of a mega-multi-vitamin with an astounding 60% protein and aminos, as well as nutrients too numerous to list here but which you can view as part of my fry starter combo in the auction listings. When fed with APR it provides a one-two punch that will not only dramatically decrease fry mortality, but which will also provide your new fry with a growth spurt you have likely not experienced before. This auction includes one 15 gram++ of Spirulina which, along with the APR is enough for many spawns.

Decapsulated brine shrimp eggs non-hatching and are fed as they are without the need for the messy and often uncertain process of hatching and harvesting baby brine shrimp. The shells have been removed, leaving the embryo and full nutritious yolk sac within untouched. Baby brine shrimp begin losing nutritious value as soon as they hatch and begin consuming the yolk sac. Here that nutritious gem is intact and ready for your fry to feed on. There are the additional advantages that the decapsulating process sterilizes the eggs so they cannot carry any bacteria into your fry tank AND their are no empty shells to be ingested by your fry to kill them by blocking their digestive system. My private label fry starter meal comes next and is so sought after by fry that a breeder who is one of my regular customers once called me up to order a pound of that "fry crack" ;) It is manufactured privately by one of the oldest and best known old-school breeders in the country and is not available in stores or anywhere else but through me or the breeder who manufactures it. This fry meal bridges the gap between the smaller fry foods and the larger feeds that follow. It is also extremely beneficial for the adults of all small to medium size species. It does indeed cause a feeding frenzy among healthy and vigorously growing fry and adults. The auction includes a full quarter pound of starter meal in a resealable bag for easy feeding and storage.

Last but certainly not least are the 7ml pipettes. They hold a total of 7ml, with 3ml marked off on the stem for dispensing meds or other measured quantities. I have sold literally thousands of these pipettes through the years and they are the single most useful thing in my fish room. They can be used for dispensing meds, for getting the fry food to where the fry are, and if you snip the top wider with a scissors, for capturing and transferring small fry without the potentially lethal trauma of a net. The auction includes fifteen 7ml pipettes.

Granted that I have a meager 45 years experience in the hobby, I always do my best to share what knowledge I have and promote the growth of our wonderful hobby.
