Auction is for a ( 2 ) pack of " BRAND NEW " EXTRA LARGE BIO-SPONGE filters. These filters have been designed and manufactured by a friend of mine who is a cichlid breeder and distributor of aquarium supplies and was dissatified with other sponge filters. These filters are being used worldwide. Made by a breeder for breeders !

AVANTAGES :

Optimum cell pore size for maximum collection of detritus and nitrifying bacteria for the cleanest water quality. This bio-sponge material is identical to Poret� foam.

Stem/tubing and weight are completely removable. Unlike other sponge filters that have an attached weighted base, these can be wrung out, washed in a washing machine or dishwasher without the possibility of the sponge being detached from the base (Which does occur with time).

New Design as of April 2009 will no longer include the rigid 3/16 tubing.

Replacement parts are all available. Replacement Sponge $ 6.49

The sponge is 5 x 5 x 6 inches and is weighted. One of these filters with air supply from an air blower can filter heavily populated 65 gallon tanks.
