Description

These two fantastic books are not going at an already great price - so I'm going to go a low as I can. Opening bid just $25.00 for two books well worth over $100. These books are two of the finest books on the subject of West African Cichlids and Killifish (of the A. cameronense group) ever published. The first book is: The Cichlid Fishes of Western Africa by Anton Lamboj. This is a hard cover, exceptionally well-made book. This book, as you can see in the photos, is in excellent condition and is "like-new". From Amazon.com (where it currently sells new for minimum of $70.00) "This book covers every cichlid species of Western Africa. The beloved species of West and Central Africa, from Senegal to the Congo, are discussed, as are species from the most northern and southwestern continental extremes. Three chapters discuss the general systematic, natural habitats and care of cichlids from Western Africa. The book's main focus is the description of every species; most are illustrated with fantastic photographs. Information on the distribution, basic characteristics, ecology and breeding biology, as well as keeping and breeding in aquaria, are presented for each species when available. The superb photography, combined with the individual descriptions, will help the identification of nearly every species. This book is the most comprehensive and up-to-date resource currently available to scientists and aquarists interested in the cichlids of Western Africa. With 255 pages, hardcover, and more then 600 color photos, a must for cichlids lovers." A great book for your collection! The second book is:Faszination Killifische: Die "Aphyosemion cameronense"-Gruppe. This beautifully made book is a work of art that contains 480 pages covering many aspects of killifish keeping, feeding and breeding - including how to culture live foods, water quality, aquariums, and filtration. It specifically documents all the known forms of the Aphyosemion Cameronense group with detailed high quality photos, color drawings and precise line drawings. The ranges, habitats and characteristics of each form are described in great detail with maps and color photos. Although written in the German language, just by looking at the photos and drawings, a wealth of information can be gleaned on keeping and breeding this group of killis as well as other similar non-annual killis that is not contained all in one volume in any other book. The book has a finely textured hardcover with an exceptionally strong binding and printed on highest quality glossy paper. The copious photos are stunningly beautiful and won't generally be found on internet searches. At this low bid start buyer will pay shipping via Media Mail. Payment is via PayPal only. Thanks for looking and good luck! Please ask if you have ANY questions!
