This book is an illustrated field guide to the FW fishes of far north-eastern Queensland, an area extending north of the coastal town of Cardwell, and covering the coastal strip and Cape York Peninsula. It provides useful information on the biology and ecology of FW fishes found in this area, as well as fishing and handling techniques, venomous fish and the treatment of fish stings. The main part of the book deals with the ID of FW fishes, with photos of most species from the region. Info on the habits, habitat preferences, and perceived aquarium, food and sport value of each species.
