Damages And Dead On Arrival

I am not responsible for damages or other errors on the part of the buyer or the delivery service. The buyer is responsible for insuring the order is accepted at the time it is delivered. Deliveries left outside can be damaged due to weather conditions or stolen. Live deliveries can perish quickly if not attended to as soon as they arrive. Heat and cold packs are available as needed for areas where temperatures are not conducive to a successful delivery. These packs increase the chances for perishable items survival but offer no guarantee that they will be a fool proof solution. It is the buyer's responsibility to make themselves aware of the weather conditions that will exist when their order is going to be in transit. The buyer must request a heat or cold pack before the invoice is paid. The weight of these packs may increase the cost of shipping. Weather damaged merchandise is not refundable and it is suggested that a buyer not purchase perishable items when the transit route is forecast as having extreme temperatures. Remember that the item may not always be in a controlled climate while in transit. Damaged or dead on arrival of live orders will require a photo e-mailed to me at auquaticplantman@gmail.com within two hours after delivery. Delivery time is the time the shipper provides. No other time will be considered. If the delivery service reports the package was delivered at 1:15PM then 1:15 PM is the time that will be used. Whether or not a refund or replacement is awarded will be at our discretion and will not include shipping and handling charges. Shipping charges will be paid before any replacements are sent. Shipping charges will not be refunded.

INSURANCE

You can Insure Your Plant Packages If You Like. Insurance Rates Vary. If you Want Your Packages Insured Let Us Know. Otherwise In The Rare Event That Your Plants Are Damaged Or Improperly Shipped We WILL NOT REFUND OR SEND A REPLACEMENT ORDER.

Shipping Address
Your Pay Pal address will be used. If you want it shipped to a different address then please change the address on your Pay Pal account. Shipping days are often times hectic and I don't have time to sort through emails to determine where a package is to go. Pay Pal's seller protection may be lost if the seller uses an address other than the one on file. Please make sure your address is correct. If I have to email you because the delivery service does not recognize your address as a legitimate one your shipment may be delayed or canceled.

Shipping Schedule

Most live orders will be shipped on the Monday or Tuesday following payment of the order. Payment must be received prior to midnight of the day preceding the shipping day. Some items will be shipped next day. Those items will be non perishables that state Next Day shipping on the auction page.

I reserve the right to delay shipping of perishables in cases of weather extremes.

Credit Cards And Bank Drafts

Credit card and bank draft payments made through Pay Pal will be sent to the address given to us by Pay Pal. No exceptions. It is recommended that all buyers open a personal Pay Pal account and not use a friend's account to transact business. Pay Pal is easy to sign up for and is safe and secure.

Payment Requirements

Payment must be made within 36 hours of winning an auction or making a commitment to buy.

Money Orders

I accept money orders issued by the US Post Office only. They must be received within five days of close of auction. Please do not send any other type of money order. Make the MO out to: Alabama Aquatic Plants. Mailing address is P.O. Box 542 Woodstock, Al. 35188-0542

Cash

I do not accept cash in the mail. I believe someone at the post office can smell cash in an envelope. It most likely will not make it to me.

Sales tax for Alabama residence must be added to the price of all merchandise.

SELLERS

If You Are Purchasing Heat Packs, Cold Packs And Shipping Bags For Your Shipments:

Shipping live fish or plants is a risky business. If you are new to shipping live items then please educate yourself thoroughly before attempting the endeavor. Even the Pros have problems so please don't think you will get lucky.

Many things can go wrong during the shipping process. Almost every shipment makes it to the buyer without a problem IF IT IS PACKAGED AND SHIPPED PROPERLY. However, the package will be handled by a multitude of individuals. Some with issues that may result in abusing a package. The box may sit in the back of a cold or hot truck or on a shipping dock for extended periods of time. It may be delivered to the wrong address. May be routed incorrectly by the shipping agent. The buyer may not be available when it is delivered.

Please be aware that rarely, but sometimes, heat packs don't work and shipping bags and cold packs leak.

If you don't test them BEFORE you ship, then you may get a BIG disappointment. Again, it really helps to know what you are doing but still there is no absolute guarantee that your shipment will be successful. Shipping live items is a risky business. It is YOUR risk and I do not guarantee that it will be successful. I do not guarantee that every heat pack will work every shipping bag will not leak or every cold pack will last the entire trip. Educate yourself on the proper way to use these items and how to ship perishables. If you need help ask me. I will give you information to aid in your education. You could also buy Finny's book.
