I am relatively new to guppies, but I have been keeping freshwater aquariums for over 20 years. I purchased my original breeding stock from Jeff Hiller and Stan Shubel and I believe that the results speak for themselves! I hope you love my fish as much as I do!
Fish Care & More...
Tank Setup: I like to keep no more than 10 guppies and 1 bristlenose pleco in each of my 10-G tanks. All of my tanks are heavily planted and I use Fluorite Black Sand substrate and Flourish Gravel Bed Fertilizer Tablets with excellent results. Filtration: I highly recommend Eheim 2211 and 2213 canister filters, as they do an excellent job of keeping the water clean and are built to last. Temperature: I keep my tanks between 80-82 degrees F during the day and 78-80 degrees F at night. Water Chemistry: The pH of my tap water is 6.8 and I do not treat with any chemicals except for de-chlorinator. I change 50% of the water in every tank, every week. Feeding: I feed my guppies live, newly-hatched baby brine shrimp twice per day. I feed Ken's Premium Earthworm Flake & Ken's Premium Spirulina, Garlic & Paprika Flake once per day.
