Pineapple's Freshwater Feeding Frenzy

I breed beneficial snails and soon live foods mainly for freshwater fish. All cultures are raised and bred in my home in clean, single species set-ups and fed on wholesome foods. No fish poop and crappy wardley flakes for these little guys.

Livestock List
Available:
Malay Trumpet Snails - This hardy little cone snail is a hard worker in the aquarium, burying itself in the substrate by day it emerges to eat algae and uneaten food at night. They keep the substrate gently stirred preventing impaction, even in fine grained substrates like sand. They are viviparous (live bearing) and do not lay eggs to gunk up your aquarium walls.

These little guys will absolutely not harm plants and are a beneficial addition to any freshwater planted aquarium, and one of the few snails that do well in African cichlid tanks. They're also a good food for dwarf puffers and can easily be bred in a standard 5 gallon bucket for a constant supply.

Ramshorn Snails - A handsome snail with a planispiral (flat coil) shell resembling the horns of a ram. Unlike the Malay Trumpets they are not light shy at all and can be seen cruising through the aquarium at all hours. They are egg layers and don't reproduce as explosively as the viviparous trumpet snails. They will turn to eating your plants if sufficient food is not provided. Ramshorn snails are handsome by themselves and make good food for dwarf puffers, regular puffers, and snail eating loaches.

Currently all ramshorn snails in my lots are mixed. I have observed common brown, red, and a nice spotted variety in my tanks. It takes some time to seperate them into colonies by color.

Future:

California blackworms - Lumbriculus variegatus is a small worm native to the western united states that makes an excellent food for almost all freshwater fish.
