About Us
My name is Ryan Karcher, and together with my mom, we own and operate Orlando Discus. I started out with discus back in 2002 as a small hobby with hopes of breeding these fish we call discus. It quickly grew into an obsession and finally, my passion. Discus keeping over the past few years has been relatively easy for me since I was active on the online forums since day 1 and I have never ceased to learn since then. Today, we have grown into what we are now. We produce and sell only top quality discus. We strive to be the best in customer service and do whatever is necessary so that each and every single customer of Orlando Discus is 100% happy with their purchase. We talk with each individual customer to get to know them and see what they truly expect from us. Getting to know the customer is something I would rather do anyways, rather than just selling the fish outright. Im in this to make friends and spread the hobby as best as I can. About me and my passion... I started this hobby when I was only 15...3 years later and I am where I am today...selling top quality discus. Being 18, and a freshmen in college is tough. But with the help of my family, everything gets done the way it should be. I started this hobby with 6 fish from a well known breeder. Within a year, I was breeding. A year and a half later and my new business takes off. Sure it's a lot of work, but I enjoy every minute of it. Most people my age are out partying and having a good time doing everything under the sun...not me. I choose to get serious and do the one thing that is my passion...discus. I take my passion very seriously and do everything in my power and knowledge to make this passion all the better for other people. Enough about me...what about you?
