Just a Little about ME!

Generally Speaking

I have been looking at aquabid for years, and although I have a low score, and my listings don't have the fanciest HTML, I still try to provide the quality of the big guys in here.

I buy most of my plants/livestock from breeders, local aquarium clubs, and Aquabid. I have not bought a fish between 2001 and 2007, but I have expanded from 6 tanks to 14 tanks.

I am currently finishing out a fishroom that will hold 40 tanks, with 16 tanks dedicated to Angelfish breeding.

I generally do not concern myself with market prices and I let the auction speak for itself.

Most of the time I am trying to make space in my tanks and offering up a surplus here. That does not mean I am putting up my seconds or culls! Seconds go to the LFS or to a live auction for face-to-fish value offered, culls go to bigger fish. I will only place my top quality specimens on Aquabid and I will specify any observed defects, if any.

psssst! Hey kid, wanna buy some fish? You won't get hooked if you just buy one...

Shipping

All these fun terms that are so annoying are built out of experiences (good and bad) Although I currently have a score of 5 as I write this, my fiance and I have a score of 470+ on eBay (bluedevil310, T&H Country Home)

I generally do not add any box/heater/handling fees- I build that in to my starting bid. I am thinking about adding a $1.00 fee for live priority mail shipping- just because I need to play meteorologist while trying not to land a styro in the middle of a blizzard (see specific auctions).

Otherwise, I do charge actual shipping, so If you win some guppies for $0.50, and it is snowing outside- be prepared to shell out another $18 for Express Mail, unless otherwise stated in the auction listing.

I generally let the buyer chose the shipping method. If a shipment arrives DOA due to MY mistake, I will re-ship or refund depending on availability. If a shipment arrives DOA due to YOUR mistake in not heeding my advice in a shipping matter (ie: insisting on parcel post to Abudahbi in February), I *may* replace lost animals, but you will be responsible for shipping cost.

I try to play fair and if you don't think so, then we can hash it out in the feedback forums and let the public judge.
