Guppies: The Freshwater Version Of A Saltwater Fish

I Have A Dream...
Basically what I would like to see some day is a community fish that has a lot of personality, as salt water fish and guppies tend to have, and have it be a non-aggresive fish and with the same bright, brilliant colors that salt water fish have, but it would be a freshwater fish. Batas and Discus are the closest we have for size and brightness of color compared to that of saltwater fish but batas are not community fish and discus have no personalities to speak of. They mostly just swim lazily through the aquarium or just swim in one spot for hours, thats very boring. So I figure guppies are where we'll need to start. Unless someone can figure out how to make batas non-aggresive or make Discus smarter. But hey guppies are fun and easy to breed.

A Bit About My Aquariums
I've got 4 aquariums: Two 15gallon, one hexagonal 40gallon and one common 29gallon. The 15's are my main breeder tanks and the other two are my sit by, relax and enjoy tanks. The 29gallon tank is the first aquascaping tank I've ever make. So far... well lets just say it looks like a novice aquascaper put it together. But hey ya gotta start somewhere. Once I get some pictures put up on a new flicker account i'll show you all what my aquariums look like and show you the guppies I'm breeding. I've got some peacock gudgeons that I trying to breed as well but I'm having no such luck with them. Well later my fellow fish'onieans, have fun and God Bless. PS. My name is David but many of my friends call me Dave Way.
