Description

Imperator Angel Adult Medium

Angel Imperator Adult Medium Pomacanthus imperator Common Name: Imperator Angel, Emperor Angel Description: The Imperator Angel is very bold in color with a blue body that is covered with bright yellow horizontal stripes culminating in a bright yellow to orange caudal fin. The fish has a striking blue-black mask that covers the eyes and a blue-black vertical band that extends from the pectoral fin two-thirds of the way up the body. This band is highlighted with a sapphire-blue in the front and a bright yellow and the mouth of the fish is white. Recommended Tank Size: Due to the size of the Imperator Angel, tank size should be approximately a 220 gallon tank or larger with plenty of room for grazing and hiding. Ideally, these fish prefer an aquarium with live rocks and plenty of room for swimming. Boulders, caves, and coral niches are also ideal for the Imperator's aquarium as they like to feel safe and secure within their tank. Make sure your new Imperator is being placed in a tank with good water conditions. For example, the fish should be placed in a seasoned water system - one that has been treated for a couple of months, with the removal of any metabolites, a good quality salt mix, and a maintained pH level of 8.1 - 8.4 and a water temperature of about 72 - 78 degrees Fahrenheit. Food & Diet: The Imperator Angel is an omnivore, so it should be fed a diet of spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, frozen shrimp and other meaty items. The Imperator may also like to eat greens, pellets, and flakes. Level of Care: Moderate Reef Compatibility: Not reef safe, proceed with caution, nips at stony and soft corals and clam mantles online fish

Q.  How are the fish  shipped?

A.  They are bagged in plastic bags and clean water with a product to control ammonia levels.  They are then boxed in a Styrofoam insulated box and heat packs or cold packs are used if weather conditions warrant.  They are then shipped via FedEx Express to the home or business address requested.

Q.  How much does shipping cost?

A.  For orders over $50 the shipping is discounted to $36.95 for FedEx Express. For orders over $325 the shipping is free. For smaller orders under $50 the rate is $44.95. FedEx express is the preferred method of shipment and has 100% warranty. Bluegrass Aquatics guarantees live arrival on all packages shipped

Q.  When will I receive my fish after placing my order?

A.  Most orders are shipped 2-5 business days after they are ordered.  Some orders that include odd balls and or saltwater fish may requires a couple of extra days to acquire and prepare fish for shipment since they are wild caught imports from a local distributor.  Most of the cichlids listed on the site are in inventory and can be shipped within one to three business days.  If you have a preferred date of arrival select that on the delivery calender provided or include that information and the order number in an email to: eddie@bluegrassaquatics.com.  We will let you know if we have to delay or reschedule for weather or product availability.

Q.   Where are you located?

A.  Bluegrass Aquatics headquarters are in Louisville Ky.   Most of the fish are shipped direct to the customers door from the Florida facility in Riverview near Tampa.

Q.   What is the guarantee on live arrival?

A.   Bluegrass Aquatics guarantees live arrival on all packages shipped. We cannot guarantee live arrival of packages that are not received on time due to carrier delay, whether it is due to weather conditions or failure to pick up or receive fish within two hours of arrival. We will, however, do our best to resolve any problems or question you may have. It is our goal to help you keep your fish alive and healthy. "Live arrival" is defined by Bluegrass Aquatics as follows: upon opening the box and inspecting your new arrivals, the fish are all swimming and appear to be in good order. In other words, they are not floating upside down dead. If you receive fish that do not meet these standards, it is the customers responsibility to take digital pictures of the fish and email them to us within two (2) hours of receiving the fish. The digital pictures of your DOA fish should be taken while the fish is in the unopened bag or with the tails clip off if discovered after opening the bag. We also encourage you to call or email us once you receive your fish to confirm their safe arrival within 2 hours, particularly if any abnormal conditions or extreme stress of the fish are involved. In the case of a DOA of a guaranteed fish, a credit will be issued. We do not refund the cash value of the fish or the cost of shipping. In the event of total loss (80% or more) of a FedEx overnight shipment, a new order will be shipped at no cost to the customer or a credit for the total order including the shipping cost will be credit to the next order.
