100 Grams Nitrofuracin Green Powder

Lot #090921 -- Expires 06/2025
$28.95 + $1.86 ACTUAL USPS First Class Shipping

Nitrofuracin Green is a combination of Nitrofurazone, Furazolidone, Sodium Chloride and traces of Methelyne Blue. It treats gram-negative and gram-positive bacterial infections, all external parasites, protozoans, some sporozoa, fungi, secondary infections, and is an antiviral. It is a fantastic healer for wounds, heater burn, physical damage, and especially ammonia burn. It also raises the dissolved oxygen level with the small amount of Meth Blue which is added.

This is THE best medication on the market for proactively treating new arrivals while in quarantine. Many recently transported fish have heater burn, ammonia burn, bacterial infections, or parasites. In the event of ammonia burn or parasites, these affect the gills which make it harder for the fish to breath. The Nitrofuracin Green increases your dissolved oxygen level and kills any disease they may have which allows your fish to breath easier while it is healing. This medication puts minimal strain on fish and cures almost every ailment recently transported fish are subjected to. Nitrofuracin Green is safe for planted tanks, invertebrates and almost all fish. Nitrofuracin Green will damage at least some of the biological filter. This medication is packaged in a moisture-proof resealable zip-lock package and then heat-sealed in plastic for worry-free shipping. The package can be transferred to a clean plastic or glass bottle for more convenient dispensing/storage.

USE: Anti- microbial, anti- protozoan, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal. Wide spectrum. Good for newly arrived fish in quarantine situations. Also good for healing wounds and ammonia burn on newly arriving fish. Widely used for shipping or packing water. Works well for sores on fish in Koi ponds.

DOSAGE: One LEVEL scoop for each 2.5 gallons of tank water (1/4 teaspoon per 20 gallons) every 24 hours with a 25% water change before each treatment. Treat for 10 days.

For ponds: 1/4 teaspoon per 20 gallons, once a week for two weeks.

*** 100 Grams will treat 1250 gallons. Turn off UV or Ozone generators when using this medication. Remove activated carbon from your filter during treatment. This product is not for use on fish livestock destined for human consumption. Keep in a cool dry location out of the reach of children. ***
