USES:��Doxycycline is a oxytetracycline derived antibiotic with very wide spectrum activity and bacteria displays very little resistance in it's presence. Doxycycline treats both gram negative and positive bacteria, including fin and tail rot, mouth rot, sores, ulcers, septecemia, pseudomona and aeromona bacteria, and even some fungi. Also used to treat swim bladder disease. It is much less stressful on fish than other antibiotics of similar capability. Will not be de-activated by high pH or high light levels like ordinary Tetracycline. 10 grams will treat approximately 180 gallons of tank water. Packaged in moisture-resistant resealable zip-lock container. DIRECTIONS FOR WATER:��1 level scoop per 2.5 gallons of aquarium water (1/4 teaspoon per 20 gallons), every 24 hours for 8 to 10 days. Do a 25% water change before each treatment. After the treatment is completed, do some partial water changes and/or add activated charcoal to the filter system to remove this medication. Doxycycline, like tetracycline and oxytetracycline will completely fry your beneficial bacterial so be prepared to re-establish this bacteria after treatment. DIRECTIONS FOR FOOD:��This method is very effective for treating severe internal bacterial infections. May be mixed into frozen or pelletized foods by using 2 teaspoons per pound of feed. When mixing pellets, dissolve the medication into 2oz. of water, pour over food and mix well. Let air dry with a fan, and feed to the fish once a day for 10-14 days. CAUTIONS:��For aquarium and ornamental fish only. Not for human consumption. Keep out of the reach of children. In case of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention and call a poison control center immediately. Do not use this product with UV sterilizers or ozone. Activated carbon should be removed from your filter system during treatment. Keep in a closed container and in a cool dry location. Do not use with fish intended for use as food.
