Anubia Hastifolia DESCRIPTION

�
Distinct arrowhead-shaped leaves add drama to any aquarium aquascape. Anubias hastifolia also has longer stalks than other smaller members of the Anubias genus. The combination of longer stalks and unique leaves gives this plant a more pronounced look when placed amidst other plants in the aquarium mid-ground. Like other Anubias plant species, however, this variety is hardy, relatively undemanding, and robust under ideal growing conditions.

Native to the tropical regions of Africa, these flowering plant species are primarily found in rivers, streams, and marshes. Anubias plants are ideal when planted in substrate or placed on harder surfaces, such as rocks or driftwood. They have medium light requirements but need regular fertilization with iron-based supplements for optimal growth but it is not completely nessesary. Interestingly, most Anubias plants do not respond to CO2 supplementation.

Considered a slow grower, members of the Anubias genus should not be placed in high light areas of your system to help prevent excessive algae growth on the leaves. Overall, however, Anubias hastifolia is very adaptable to a wide range of pH, water hardness, and lighting conditions. Most herbivorous fish also tend to leave Anubias plants alone, which makes them great additions to any freshwater system, especially cichlid and goldfish aquariums.

Propagation is relative easy with cuttings. To ensure optimal growth if planted in substrate, however, ensure the rhizome of divided plants is always above the substrate. Plants can also be grown emersed, which also makes them an ideal plant for paludariums or terrariums.��

RETURNS:� Return are only accepted for plants that are not as described. DEAD ON ARRIVAL OR DAMAGED PLANTS OR BOXES:� Plants tend to suffer when on shipping. It is normal for them to lose some leaves, get a lighter or darker color or even to smell bad and look mushy. Remember that the plants have spent 3 -5 days inside a box with no water sunlight or proper air. They will recover their normal color and grow once on your tank. IF YOU RECEIVE EXTREMELY DAMAGED PLANTS, FROZEN PLANTS OR A BOX THAT HAS BEEN BROKEN OR DAMAGE IN ANY WAY PLEASE TAKE PICTURES. The only way to prove that your plants arrived dead or in very bad shape is taking a picture and sending the picture to us to rolando3ccc@yahoo.es. After the delivery of the box you have 48 hours to send a picture of the dead plants. I will refund or replace the damaged plants.�
