S. minima is a great floating plant from South America to add to any aquarium or pond setup. It boasts an attractive textured leaf that grows in dense clusters with electric green coloration and dangling roots that are great for providing cover for small fish or fry. Care for this plant is extremely easy. It prefers moderate to high lighting. It also prefers gentle moving water so tanks with high surface agitation may hinder its growth. This plant can tolerate a wide pH range and has been reported to tolerate very low levels of salinity. S. minima has rapid growth which aides in removal of harmful waste products from the water. Each 1/2 Cup order is packed with a small amount of water to decrease weight. These plants are grown in tanks that have aquatic snails such as ramshorn, pond and bladder snails so these plants are NOT snail free. Maintained as a duckweed free culture. Ships via USPS priority mail. In the event of dead plants please send a picture within 4 hours of delivery and a replacement package will be sent or your money refunded.
