Contains 1/2 cup of Giant Duckweed (Spirodela polyrhiza), grown under artificial with no synthetic fertilizers. Great for ponds and aquariums, as well as a high protein diet supplement for Goldfish, Koi, and Turtles. Reduced pricing available for larger quantities. Duckweed can withstand rapid temperature swings and a wide array of water parameters. Duckweed is a floating plant reproduces asexually (also known as cloning). This cycle of reproduction allows duckweed to have a very fast rate of growth. It is capable of doubling in biomass over the course of 16 hours. This fast growth rate allows duckweed to rapidly uptake excess nitrogen and phosphorous from the water.
