this auction is for one adult pair of Elassoma gilberti "Wacissa Springs". these beautiful little gems are true nano fish, maxing out around an inch. they are rarely offered for sale. they can handle soft to medium hard water, and do fine in unheated tanks. they are eating various small worms, daphnia, and mosquito larvae. newly hatched fry are very small, and you will have the best breeding success rates with the addition of very small live foods (infusoria, banana worms, vinegar eels) once fry appear. if kept in a small tank (1 TO 2.5gal), only one male will be dominant and show full color. in a larger tank, multiple males will establish small territories and color up nicely.
