Splitfin Tequila (Zoogoneticus tequila)

This auction is for 6 fry of Zoogoneticus tequila.

Zoogoneticus tequila, Tequila splitfin or simply Tequila fish, is a species of goodeid fish (family Goodeidae) from Mexico. This goodeid was considered extinct in the wild for over 35 years, but there have been a number of attempts to reintroduce this fish back to the wild, which are now yielding positive results.

They are light gray, but�turn dark gray when excited, mating or sparring. Males have a yellow line in the caudal fin.

Listing is for 6 fry. Photos are�of adult fish and are for reference on how they will look like when fully grown.

These fish are recommended to be kept in species-only��tanks. They are very prolific and fry are born after about 2 months of gestation. They are born big and in my experience adults leave them alone.

Shipping: $15 for Priority Mail to Continental USA, Hawaii & Puerto Rico. Hawaii bidders must have the required permits to import fish.

Live Arrival Guarantee: In case of any dead-on-arrival (DOA) we will either replace the item or refund the money. A picture of the dead fish in the unopened bag must be sent within 2 hours of first delivery attempt. � � Live arrival guarantee does not cover shipping costs.
