Description

Up for auction are seven (7) Poecilia reticulata "Orange-Line",El Salto, (7 is the lucky number!) You will get one Reserve trio 2 male and 1 female and four unsexed fries. This line was collected in the Rio Morichal, El Salto, at the Highway 10 bridge, 75 km SSE Maturin (9.45 N, 63.10 W), Venezuela These are new in the hobby,OUTSTANDING NEON ORANGELINE COLOR as you can see from the photo of my adult breeders. Rare livebearing fish that is not often seen in the hobby. Some people say they are Micropoecilia, some they are just a localform of wildguppy and some other think they are a new species of Poecilia/Micropoecilia. These can be line bred to create you own fancy strain, out-crossed into other guppy or endler strains to strengthen those lines or you can simply enjoy them for what they are-real cool little wild livebearers! This is a very small livebearer that I have found easy to keep and breeding. My experience, the females drop between 4-10 fry a month,the fry are very small,they generally do not eat their fry. All my fish are born and raised in my tanks in Florida tap water (pH 7.4) and are fed a variety of live and dry foods. Temps are range from 75 to 85.
