Epiplatys dageti Monroviae

40 Developing Eggs

I am an AKA member and uphold the AKA Code of Ethics

Offered here are 40 eggs (plus any extras I have on hand) of this classic killi. They do well in a group, and the males entertain by flashing and staging mock battles competing for female attention. They are gregarious fish that rush up and beg for food as soon as you approach. If you want to start breeding killies, they spawn very easily providing many eggs to work with.

These are very small eggs, and the fry require smaller foods before they are able to take newly hatched BBS. A nice wad of mucky java moss or other bottom plant from an older tank placed into the fry container along with some ramshorn snails helps a lot. Green water, vinegar eels, walter worms and micro worms are all good.

You will receive 40 fertile, developing eggs shipped in water with a trace of methylene blue. The eggs and then the fry are visible, and you can monitor their development and hatching without having to separate them from peat. I get much better results with this fish water incubating than on peat. Water incubation allows for removing any eggs that do fungus, and I always include some 7ml pipettes for moving and feeding fry.

This auction ships only to the lower 48 United States and Puerto Rico

This time of year Priority Mail shipping with a styro lined box and heat pack if needed is $10.00.
