Description

IMPORTANT: I ship to the address provided in your payment. If paying by paypal, please, please make sure that shipping address is correct before clicking the send button. Shipping days get hectic, and it's easy to miss requests to ship elsewhere. Thanks...

Auction is for a week's spawn of the tiny, but dazzling Notholebias minimus Campo Grande CCRJ-01-02. Incubation ranges from 6 to 12 weeks; I have been wetting them first at 7 weeks, then re-drying and wetting again at 9 weeks if necessary. Fry are tiny, and should get paramecium or some other infusoria as a first food. May accept microworms in a week or two, then newly hatched brine shrimp at 3-4 weeks.

This is a striking SAA killifish that is a little more challenging - mostly because of the first food requirements. They only get about one inch long, but are truly dazzling to observe. A small colony can comfortable be kept in a 2 to 5 gallon tank. Occasional jumpers; keep 'em covered.

Parameters: I don't use heaters, so tanks are in the low 70s in winter and high 70s in summer. Our water is moderately hard (140mg/l) with a pH of 7.5, and I add one tablespoon of aquarium salt per 5 gallons. I've never checked it myself, but a couple of buyers report my water arrives with a TDS of 900-1000 ppm.

Shipping: I ship to US only; shipping may need to be coordinated around weather and postal holidays. Fish usually ship the Saturday, Monday; or Tuesday after payment clears to reduce risk of spending a weekend parked outside some postal sorting station. Please include $17.00 per box for Priority Mail or $45 per box for Express Mail. Multiple fish or egg purchases can be shipped together for no additional shipping charge.

Payment: please pay by money order or paypal within 3 days of purchase. The email address that Aquabid provides in the winning bidder notice is my paypal address, so if you know your total, feel free to pay before contacting me. Otherwise, I usually send out an email within a day of auction end. If you prefer to pay by money order, the Aquabid address is again correct; please let me know when money order is in the mail. I am often looking to clear tanks to make room for the next hatch, so prompt payment is always appreciated.

Replacement: In the unlikely event that fish perish during shipping, I will either replace or refund the price of the fish, provided that you let me know of the loss within two hours of the time tracking shows delivery. The most dangerous part of their trip is often the time spent sitting in the mailbox or on the porch. If you unable to be home for mail delivery, please consider having the parcel held at your local post office for you to pick up. Shipping charges are not refundable.
