Description

Cherry Shrimp have a Red Body with the male being less red with some clear. They have gained popularity due to their lovely color but also their appetite for all kinds of algae � this makes them perfect for the planted aquarium. They are peaceful, and are a great addition to any peaceful freshwater aquarium. These shrimp prefer a well planted tank with lots of hiding places. They should be housed with small peaceful fish which will not pose a threat of eating these shrimp � they can be housed with larger fish but they will hide and may end up being dinner. Cherry Shrimp prefer water that is slightly acidic, but will handle a wide range of water temperatures. These shrimps breed in freshwater providing they are happy with their water conditions and their environment. They are omnivores and consume algae and any fish food they can find or scavenge. We place them in a breather bag to ensure that they are not stressed in transit. The breather bag ensures plenty of oxygen in the water while cushioning them from bumps in travel. Your shrimps will be shipped with plenty of moss. Shrimp are much happier when they have something to hold on to and the moss provides cushioning and stability for them. The bag is placed in a small strong cardboard with plenty of fiber glass to protect them. Fiber glass also provides warmth and insulation. The cardboard box provides insulation as well.
