THE RED CHERRY SHRIMP(Neocaridina denticulata senensis) is a freshwater shrimp from Taiwan. Both sexes are red, but females tend to be brighter red. You will get a mixture of juvies and young adults. I will try and include a few egg carrying females. You should have young shrimplets in no time!!! They are reputedly algae eaters, but I havent found that to be true. They will eat any type of fish food and make good scavengers (you can see in the picture how they're enjoying a slice of zucchini!!). They reproduce readily in aquaria. The eggs are kept under the mothers abdomen until they hatch (you can see a female in the picture carrying her eggs!!). The nauplii can survive in a community tank if there is adequate cover to hide in. They make great nano-tank denizens and do well in planted tanks. These are grown in my Zebra Pleco (L46) tanks and some even survive in my Discus tanks. They also make excellent cichlid food and bring out red, orange, and yellow colors in the fish. Shipping includes some plants for the shrimp to hold onto. Live arrival 100% guaranteed! Priority Shipping is $15.00 via USPS Priority Mail. Insulated box and breather bag. In the rare case of DOA, please email a picture of DOA to me in unopened bag within 2 hours of first delivery attempt. I will hold shipping if pending bad weather is forecast in either location. Gladly send to your USPS as HOLD FOR PICKUP if you request. THANKS FOR LOOKING!!!
