Hello Folks! I am not even going to pretend I know what type of crayfish these are. I bought them from a wholesaler I came in contact with while trying to find some Apricot crayfish, Cherax holthuisi. He didn't have any Apricot's BUT he had some crayfish he imported from Indonesia he was calling "Red Neon Crayfish". The interesting thing about these is I am pretty sure they are a brand new species in the hobby. The reason I think that is because after I talked with the wholesaler I tried to do a Google search with "Red Neon Crayfish" in parentheses like that and I only turned up 3 hits. One from Big Al's in Canada from Early November of this year saying he had imported some of them himself, one from some nit wit talking about seafood restaurants in Houston Texas and one link that, well, maybe you outta just do you own search if you want to see what the 3rd link was all about. I also managed to find one photo of these crayfish that was from an Interzoo show at The Exhibition Center in Nuremberg, Germany (that's a large aquarium trade show they have over in Europe/Asia every year). Folks, sometimes even I get stumped on some of this stuff. I could spend a few days digging a little deeper in to what species these really are but then I would probably have to sell them for 200 bucks a Pr. instead of starting them off at a dollar and offering free shipping on them just like I am about to do right now.
