Description

This breeding group of danio species TW02, commonly known as the gold ring danio or danio Tinwini, consists of 7 fish. I'm reasonably certain it is 2 males and 5 females. They are a smaller danio more along the lines of a nano species. They are active and colorful. They breed in typical danio fashion in my hard Lake Erie tap water conditioned on live baby brine shrimp. They can tolerate tropical temps in the upper 70's but seem to prefer lower 70's. I breed mine at about 75 degrees. After conditioning the group for a week I place them in a 5 gallon with the bottom covered with glass marbles. After about 24 hours I pull the adults and wait for free swimming fry. Don't leave the adults in the tank too long or they will feed on the newly hatched fry. I've kept tinwini with other small egglayers like danio erythromicron, celestial pearl danios, sabwa resplendens, etc. Larger fish tend to spook them so I don't recommend putting them in a standard community tank. In addition, they are pretty small at about 1". I feed mine Tetramin flake, chopped frozen brine shrimp and live baby brine shrimp. This group is actively breeding. Tinwini hail from Myanmar. Unfortunately, because of the political climate in Myanmar imports are typically not consistent. Sometimes I have access to numerous species and then imports will dry-up for several months or longer. Fortunately, I've found that many of the species are moderately easy to spawn in captivity. Shipping is $15 on top of the winning bid. This auction will ship Wednesday 11/20 so payment is due at the close of the auction on Tuesday 11/19. If payment is not received as requested, I will relist the auction. Thanks for looking.
