Small Barbs, Big Personality

One of the smaller barb species available in the hobby, these hardy and attractive little fish will best show their checkered pattern against a dark substrate. Gold with black bordered scales, males will also develop red tipped fins at maturity. Like their larger counterparts, these fish have a tendency to be nippy when not kept in large enough groups; keeping them in shoals of at least ten individuals will help mitigate most of this behavior.
