"Zaire" types. After Cyphotilapia gibbersosa "Moba" (A.K.A Moba purple), which was introduced to the hobby in 2003 by African Diving Ltd, Cyphotilapia gibberosa "Kitumba" (A.K.A kitumba purple) was a second variant introduced to the United States in 2005 from Zaire. However, there were a few of Cyphotilapia gibberosa "kitumba" imported into United States from 1992-1996 under trading name, "Zaire purple" or "purple".
