Hello folks! Happy Thursday! This offering is for a real NICE Pr. of Crenicichla regani from over in Conrad Jr's fish room. The Males about 5 inches long, the Females about 3 1/3 inches long. He just dropped them off this afternoon and they were pretty stressed out while I was photographing them so don't judge them too much from the photos. Here's the deal on these fish right from Conrad's mouth- These are a Young Pair that have spawned for me multiple times. I feed them blackworms, frozen brine shrimp, frozen bloodworms and earthworms. They do NOT eat flake food or pellets. I maintained them in a 38 gallon planted tank. My water is hard (like great lakes water is) and I can't seem to get any eggs to hatch. After doing quite a bit of research I suspect the hard water is not permitting the egg membranes to be fertilized. I was debating on getting an RO unit but I don't want to get into making water every time I want to change some water so I am throwing in the towel on these fish. One thing to note regarding this Pr. is they are totally unrelated to each other. I purchased the Male from Pete's old store and I bought the Female from Apisto Dave over on the West Coast. I would sure like to see someone have success with this Pr. They get along well and so far have been compatible fish. Thanks Conrad. Conrad also gave me a handful of floating plants he said were taken from their breeding tank to add to the shipping box. I have only had these fish in my fish room for a couple of hours but I would bet if I were to keep them I could get them to eventually eat Freeze Dried Plankton although Conrad does say they only eat Frozen foods and live worms. Give this Pair a try folks. Especially if you have softer water or an RO unit. Shipping will be 100% FREE on this offering just like it is with all my auctions and I Guarantee live arrival of HEALTHY fish.
