This bid is for a Group of 3 Melini Corydoras. Expedited Shipping at $12.00 Check us out at www.cvaqua.com A strikingly marked medium-growing species of Corydoras, the Melini or False Bandit Cory is widespread throughout the Rio Negro, Orinoco, and Meta in Brazil and Colombia where it is found in large shoals in a variety of shallow water habitats. This species is one of several very similar looking Corydoras and is sometimes confused with C. metae, but the Melini Corys stripe extends down into the tail. Like most Corys, they are peaceful, hardy, and best kept in groups due to their schooling nature. An excellent community aquarium fish, they will do well with nearly any non-aggressive tankmates. As with most Corydoras, these fish will eat most food which sinks to the bottom of the tank. Sinking algae pellets should be supplemented with flake food or other sinking foods like catfish pellets. Be aware these fish do have a carnivorous side to them and love foods such as Bloodworm and Brine Shrimp. Vegetable-based foods offer little nutrition to them. They will also eat any dead, dying, or even injured fish, that sit on the substrate too long. They're very opportunistic! Difficulty: Easy Min. Tank Size: 76 Litres (20 US G.) Size: 2.5-4.6cm (1-1.8 ") pH: 5.5 - 7.0 Temp: 22.2-26.1C (72 -79 F) Water Hardness: 0-10 d Availability: Uncommon Diet: Omnivore, Pellet Foods, Flake Foods, Live Foods Life Span: 15-25 years
