Pink Kissing Gourami Helostoma temminckii

A larger gourami species, these jumbo sized fish are often farmed as food in their native range. Sometimes a bit quarrelsome, larger tankmates are recommended, especially with mature specimens. These fish will thrive in a well-established aquarium with slightly acidic water; they appreciate vegetable matter in their diet, and the occasional supplement of lettuce or zucchini is sure to be a delight for both fish and keeper.
