Flame Dwarf Gourami Trichogaster lalius Six Male Fish An excellent option for a centerpiece fish or species tank, Flame Dwarf Gouramis are very popular for their brilliant colors and interesting behavior. Their long modified ventral fins are used to feel and "taste" objects around them. Males can reach up to three and a half inches in length, but rarely exceed three inches in the home aquarium. A pair can be happily housed in a 20 gallon long tank and a group in a larger tank. They can be both shy and territorial, so boisterous tankmates and flamboyant fish such as guppies and other species of Betta or Gourami are best avoided.
