This auction is for 4 containers of a high-quality, professional aquaculture fry feed granules. This is a Japanese made fish food that is used by large commercial fish hatcheries for production of marine and freshwater finfish species that has been top dressed with Haematococcus (a marine algae that is rich in astaxanthin). You will receive 20+ gram containers of one each of 4 various size feeds labeled A, B, C and D. Analysis: Crude Protein (min) 49.0%, Crude Fat (min) 13.0%, Crude Fiber (max) 3.0%, Crude Ash (max) 15.0%, Crude Calcium (min) 2.3%, Crude Phosphorus (min) 1.5%, Moisture (max) 6.5%, Astaxanthin (min) 400 ppm. Ingredients: Krill Meal, Fish Meal, Squid Meal, Fish Oil, Haematocococus, Potato Starch, Wheat Flour, Brewer�s Yeast, Calcium Phosphate, Guar Gum, Soy Lecithin, Betaine, Licorice Plant, Apple Extract, Wheat Germ. Size A is 250 � 360 um and is intended as a first feed in weaning fry from newly hatched baby brine shrimp. Size B is 360 - 650 um and is the next step up from size A. Size C is 580 � 840 um and will accommodate larger fry than size B Size D is an 840 � 1410 um granule that is readily accepted by fry 1�-2� in size depending upon their gape. It is recommended that all fish feeds containing high HUFA levels and antioxidants, including astaxanthin, be refrigerated to preserve freshness and shelf life. Refrigerated feed will keep for approximately 9 months. It is also recommended that the size of feed fed to fry be small enough to fit the maximum size that can be ingested by the smallest fish in the brood. This feed is intended as a COMPLETE diet for indoor raise marine and freshwater fish*. I have successfully raised clownfish (as well as plecos, rams, angels and apistogrammas) on this diet alone. I also feed this to fish as large as adult angelfish and use it to bring all my fish into spawning condition without the need for live foods. Adult angelfish readily accept the size D granules. This feed has been scientifically researched and optimized to produce the reddest reds and the whitest whites. It improves and enhances red, orange, yellow and some blue colors in fish, increasing the value of the fish you produce. When feed to brood stock, it causes the eggs laid by adults to have a red-orange color. In my personal experience, this feed increases hatchability and survival early fry when fed to your brood stock, and increases health, vigor and growth rates in fry in addition to producing vibrant colors in fish.
