This listing is for a 1/4 teaspoon of assorted pond bugs. Thats alot of bugs! These bugs include mosquito larvae, scuds, daphnia magna, daphnia pulex, and a bunch of other assorted naturally occurring insect larvae that i have no idea what they are. What i can tell you is that all of my fish go nuts for them. I do try to "clean up" these bugs a bit before shipping. I take my net full of bugs and let them swim in fresh aged water to get rid of as much pond water as possible; then i rescoop them and bag for shipping also using fresh aged water. There will be some debris in the bags as well to serve as bug food for the ride. This fresh aged water has never had fish in it so you can rest assured that the water these insects/insect larvae arrive in is safe for your aquarium(s). To feed your fish, you can use a brine shrimp net and pour the bugs into it to pipette out what you want to feed, or just dump the whole bag of bugs into your tank and watch your fish go into a feeding frenzy. To store your bugs, a large clean pickle jar will do. pour your bugs into the jar, add tank water and a handful of gravel or substrate, and place the cap over the top up side down so they can breathe. or use paper towel with rubber band as lid. The longer you keep the bugs, the more likely mosquitos will develop into flying vampires, so open this jar outside if you see the little bloodsuckers out of the water... Each Bag will have a different mix as my pond cultures change seasonally. Just to say it again... I have no idea what some of these bugs are. Free Shipping via first class mail... no live arrival guarantee. Live arrival Guarantee if using expedited shipping.... Expedited shipping available for extra charge of 5.00 ... total of 9.99 will combine shipping of multiple items where possible at no extra charge. In the event of Dead on arrival, please send pics or video of organisms being dead in the bag within 2 hours of delivery. Refunds will be given only for organisms, and NOT for Postage. Every effort will be made to ensure these organism arrive safe and alive even with first class shipping.
