You will receive a starter culture (a few hundred) daphnia raised indoors, as well as enough daphnia food to last at least 2 months. This is an extremely hardy strain of daphnia. I have used freshly dechlorinated tap water with strain for years with excellent results. They are on the large side, probably Daphnia magna. Scuds may be added to the culture, and both will thrive, making a more productive culture overall. If you buy both species, you receive a 10% discount. Shipping is $13.50 for USPS priority mail. I ship the Daphnia in breather bags. Terms of Service Live Arrival Guarantee LAG is provided as long as temperatures are above freezing and below 95 F in my ZIP code and yours during the time of transit and the signature requirement is NOT waived. I may suggest or require that you pay a nominal fee for cold or heat pack(s) if temperatures are near these extremes. Refund Policy (If there is a DOA under LAG coverage, send me clear photographs of the deceased animals within 6 hours of receipt. I will refund the purchase price (not including shipping) or reship once, at my discretion, although every effort will be made to accommodate your preference if one is expressed.) Here is my video on how to raise these daphnia indoors:
