Metronidazole exerts a bactericidal action on gram positive and some gram negative bacteria.�

It is effective against a number of pathogentic bacteria associated with ornamental fish diseases, including areomonas and pseudomonas genera and mysobacterial group (gill diseases, chondrococcus).�

It is useful in the control of �Hole-in-the-Head� and �Angel Problems� in Cichlid and Discus.

Treatment has been shown to be very effective when the following directions are followed:

�Add one gram into aquarium for each 30 gallons of water to be treated. Repeat in 24 hours. It is suggested that a partial water change be made between treatments.�

While treatment duration depends on type and severity of the infection, it is recommended that extended medication baths continue for a minimum of 5 days and not more than 10 days.�

Discontinue treatment with this medication if no improvement is noted within 5 days. To remove harmless yellow color, change 20% of water and use charcoal filter until clear.

Caution:�Keep out of reach of children. Fish Antibiotics are for aquarium use only. Intended for ornamental fish and/or ornamental organisms, and not intended for use with fish for human consumption.

Unlike some other suppliers, this medication is packaged in air-tight, sealed mylar bags which can be zip-locked to provide lasting freshness and efficacy.
