Description

Auction is for 1 vesuvius sword, Echinodorus angustifolia "Vesuvius", like in the pic below. These are runing 12-14 inches tall right now and loking spectacular. The Vesuvius Sword Looks more like a Vallisneria than an Echinodorus with its tightly twisted dark green leaves reach upward toward the surface. Although at first glance the leaves look much like Vallisneria, Echinodorus �Vesuvius� leaves actually curl rather than twist on it�s axis which give a much tighter twisting appearance. It reproduces like most chain swords by runners arising at the base of the plant. Echinodorus �Vesuvius' requires moderate to high light and does best with a fertile substrate in the aquarium. Like all swords it Loves some iron content in the substrate. This is a chain sword and reproduces via runners underwater. These do NOT get Huge, about 14 inches is Maximum But they can get large around with tons of twisting leaves.
