Description

Auction is for a "chunk" of Isoetes vetata as shown in the picture.. This is actually 3-5 plants that have been cut out of a mass as a unit. This is an unusual plant.. It is a quillwort that lives underwater. It needs to be planted as deep as possible.. when you first see the plant you will think I am crazy but plant it deep.. I mean DEEP.. The base of the leaves are tasty and prone to snail damage but planted deep (which it likes) protects it from this. Also the plant is VERY buoyant and if you Just plant the roots it will pop out and float to the top.. LOL. These are GREAT plants for digging Cichlids including Mbunas and shellys.. Plant them just outside the main digging territories as deep as you can and they will be left undisturbed other than extra substrate being piled on top which they do NOT mind!!
