Description

You will get a starter portion of each of the following four mosses: anchor moss, flame moss, mini pearl moss, and NL moss (Notocyphus lutescens). I have a couple of other varieties, and would be willing to discuss substitutions. I am offering starter portions. A portion will be enough loose moss to cover an area 2 inches by 2 inches. It will do best if tied to wire mesh or to wood. There are many "how to" videos online if you are not already familiar with the process. PLEASE NOTE: Each moss is grown in its own tank. the tanks are low tech and very low light. The advantage of extremely low light is that the tanks are totally free of algae. The disadvantage is that the mosses may be a bit leggy, and not as lush or compact as they will be under slightly higher light conditions. ALSO NOTE: The only tank which has snails is the anchor moss. It only contains Malaysian Trumpet Snails, which don't damage plants. In fact, they spend most of their time burrowing in the substrate, where they stay out of sight while cleaning and aerating the gravel or sand. So, all mosses are snail free, except the anchor moss, which could contain MTS eggs. Free first class shipping is included in the price.
