Description

This auction lot is for a quarter pound of Guppy Grass, Najas guadalupensis. It is a very popular working plant for the fishroom, and its delicate beauty is welcome in planted tanks and outdoor tub gardens as well. This beautiful bright green floating plant is perfect for spawning livebearers and for cover for fry in breeding and grow out tanks. It grows quickly and does well with medium light. It does not require CO2 or expensive supplements. It gets its name from the old days of the hobby, when it was believed that if the guppy grass did well in your water, it was perfect for guppies. It does break apart a bit during shipping, but it will quickly grow long, luxurious stems from the broken bits as well as those that remain intact.
