8 Floating Water Hyacinth

Water Hyacinth is perfect for offering shade for fish during the hot summer months. It grows well in most fresh water ponds. Blooms all summer long. It's long thick thick roots dangle down and clarify the water. It's safe for all aquatic life. May grow and reproduce quickly in your climate. The roots soak up fish emulsion. So, excess plants can be used as natural mulch under trees and in the vegetable garden too. Water hyacinth has been known to be fed to cattle in South America, however it has a bitter taste.

Your hyacinth plants are nice and green with healthy roots. Some roots might shed off of the plants during shipping. This is common and natural. Place plants in a bucket of fresh clean water once received and put in the shade for 3 days. Then, you may transfer the plants into a sunny location. Hyacinth does NOT do well in extreme heat. It also does not do well when placed in moving water, such as a fountain or near a waterfall.
