Description

This listing is for one bunch (30+ stems because they are so thin!) of Hemianthus Micranthemoides, aka: Pearl Weed. This is my favorite plant for low-tech (no CO2) tanks! It is hardy, grows fast, and spreads throughout the tank, if allowed. It can grow into a nice thick bush, great for hiding small fish or shrimp, and it uses up excess nutrients and waste in the water like crazy. It can get so thick that it blocks light to its lower leaves, and it will then tend to detach from the substrate and float (almost like guppy grass, which some people like), so trimming is required if youd like it stay where it is and have leaves all the way down. Its great to just let it go crazy in a simple breeding tank, or it can look fancy in an aquascape. This plant can be background, mid-ground or even foreground carpet, if you keep up on trimming. The higher the light, the more it will spread out over the substrate instead of just growing tall. All my plants are grown in low-tech (no CO2) tanks and may contain snails, snail eggs, traces of algae, or anything else that might be in a heavily planted natural aquarium. It is the buyers responsibility to treat or quarantine as you see fit. Plants grown in the aquarium, instead of out of water, as many commercially available plants are, tend to convert to your tanks parameters easier. There may be more than one of these plants available, just inquire. See my other auctions, or my Facebook page, Nano Realms, to combine shipping with other plants or animals. I will ship on the Monday after your purchase. Shipping is $15 USPS if you are only ordering plants, its a small enough order (probably 1-3 plants depending on size of plant), and outside temps dont require heat or cold pack. Otherwise the medium flat rate box, for larger orders, or including animals, is $20. Inquire before buying if you need to know which shipping box will work. I do not guarantee live arrival, but if you send me a picture of the plant either melted or severely damaged, I MAY be able to send another, IF I have more, for the price of shipping only.
