Description

This is a one week special that would be perfect for anyone thinking about setting a small native tank (10 gallon). For starters you will get 2 show pairs of Wild Pygmy Killifish, Leptolucania ommata. The males are showing great breeding color right now. They were collected in a ditch that feeds into Lake Butler in Florida. A great fish that has a lot of yellow in them. For the bottom of the tank, you will get 3 swamp darters, Etheostoma fusiforme. This fish has a great personality and will follow you with it's eyes as you walk by the fish tank. One of the few fish that tend to perch along the bottom third of the fish tank. This fish are wild caught and have been tanked for over a month. The last item in this kit is 8 Wild Least Killifish, Heterandria formosa . They were collected in North Florida. This is the smallest fish in the United States and is a neat Livebearer. The males get 3/4 of an inch long and the females max out at a tad over an inch. The neat thing about these fish is instead of dropping 40 fry at once, the females will drop 2 or 3 each day for a 14 to 17 day period. These fish have been tanked for over 1 month and eating great.
