Blue Ramshorn Motley Crew Blue Ramshorn Motley Crew
This auction is for 25 offspring of my extremely fertile blue ramshorn breeders. While all the parents were a distinct light blue, the offspring have turned out to be a motley crew indeed! They are throwing blues, browns, leopards and some that appear to be undecided. I've even noticed different shades on the foot. Truth is I have yet to encounter a line of 'blue' rams that breed true. All are extremely healthy and have as nearly perfect shells as possible due to being reared on an Aragonite substrate and fed a diet including calcium supplements.

I am toying with the idea of trying to develop a blue leopard ramshorn that would breed true, if that is in fact possible, but sadly my time and space at the moment precludes such a deep dive into snail genetics. The blue develops in those who will be so as they grow, and I will try to favor the blues in my selection for this auction. The snails in the pictures above are representative of the color and size of those you will receive. And, I'll add another 10 as a bonus and to cover any who might perish along the way, though I've yet to lose a snail in transit. This brings total snails shipped to 35.

In addition to having interesting genetic possibilities for a science project, these snails are healthy, extremely fast growing and will form the basis of a colony that you can use as a clean up crew, as puffer food or simply keep for your enjoyment. I use these snails as an important element of all my fry tanks.
I guarantee your purchase 100% including shipping, provided that someone is there to receive the package when it is delivered and you drop me a line within two hours of delivery. If there are any issues, please contact me immediately and we will make things right.
Shipping will be in air-filled, heat sealed, 2mil polybags with the riders ensconsed in wet wrap and cushioned in soaked polyfloss. I find this shipping method best because an unlikely casualty cannot foul a bag of water and kill the other snails in it. Your order will ship Priority Mail for $6.00 to most states this time of year without the need for a heat pack, and for $8.00 if a 72hr. heat pack is required. No orders outside the lower 48 United States please.
Thanks for your interest!
