Characodon audax, El Toboso- �The Black Prince�, �The Bold Goodeid�- 2 pair. Highly endangered in the wild, this richly colored goodeid is not often seen or available in the hobby. Bred here for over 2 years, they do best in cooler temperatures below 74/75 degrees, and females produce 4-12 young after a 60 day gestation. They generally do not eat their large fry, but young should be raised separately to grow most quickly. See this fish at selectaquatics.com for more pictures and videos.
