Description

Xiphophorus mayae, 6 unsexed fry. This majestic species is the largest bodied swordtail in the world. As young fry you can feed them heavily and raise them to their full potential. I have had this line, originally from England, for about 6 years. With a tank of at least 29 gallons and plenty of live food they will surpass 5 inches. Videos of full sized fish can be seen at http://www.selectaquatics.com/X._mayae_video_page.htm They are also a very beautiful fish with bright red stripes along their sides. Females will drop from 10 to 50 fry (possibly more), depending on her size. Shipping for a single order by Priority Mail is 15.00, overnight is dependent on P.O. rates, generally about $35, and I always include an extra or two to cover any possible losses.
