Description

You are bidding on 2 pair of Aphyosemion wachtersi Obilly RPC 91-3. This line of the population develops long, veil-like fins, and seems to have shown up independently both in the US (in the fishroom of Dick van Hyfte) and in the UK (at a 2003 BKA Manchester auction). My fish are descended from Dick�s line. These are adult fish of spawning size. The fish eat Xtreme Aquatic Nano but will breed best given live and frozen food. I only obtain viable eggs when the fish are kept at approximately 64-66oF. I keep the fish in soft water. The pH doesn�t seem to be a big factor. While the fish will spawn in mops I get the best results by adding a large mat of Utricularia to the tank. They will spawn in the Utricularia near the water�s surface. I generally do not collect eggs but let the fish spawn and then either fish out the fry or remove the Utricularia to a different aquarium. I can include some Utricularia with the fish for you. It needs strong light to grow well. The fry are large. Shipping is approximately $20 by USPS priority to most locations. A cooler pack will be included to buffer against excessive heat or cold. Fish are shipped on Monday or Tuesday. Payment by paypal. I do not ship to locations outside the USA.
