Sakura Shrimp For auction are 50+ sakura shrimp. This is a very red strain, and I actually like them better than some of the �fire reds� I have purchased in the past. It's also one of the toughest strains I know of. They laugh off 95% water changes and changes in TDS seem to BORE them. I regularly thin out the populations from soft, 60 TDS water and plop them right into tanks with 460 TDS AZ liquid-rock. If there are any berried females around when I am catching them, I will be sure to include them. You will get both sexes.
I will include a handful of Java moss for your shrimp to hide in and graze on. This plant is bullet proof. Besides messing with things like R/O water and water additive JUNK, I think most people kill their shrimp because they don�t give them enough surface area to feed from. They STARVE. Shrimp need things like sponge filters, plants, wood and leaves to graze on 24/7.
You will receive some food that your new shrimp will love, but I�d recommend also boiling and freezing some dark leafy greens like kale or spinach. Boiled kale sinks right away, is high in calcium, doesn�t muck up your water and shrimp love it. Canned green beans are also an A+ shrimp food, but they don't hold up as well as kale.
